The MICROPACK FDS range of Visual Flame Detectors are the safest and most advanced flame detectors on the market today. Their track record on the numerous facilities where they are installed has proven the technology to be robust, even in the harshest of environments.
The MICROPACK Fire and Gas Detection Mapping software is comprised of Flame Detection Assessment (FDA), Gas Detection Assessment (GDA) and Heat Detection Assessment (HDA). These three packages are able to verify fire and gas equipment arrangements from initial design stages through to construction and installation, or existing facilities.
MICROPACK is based at its own purpose built facility at the Grampian Fire Brigade’s Fire Training Centre in Portlethen, Aberdeen and this is the only facility in the Grampian area permitted to burn 'fires'. This uniquely benefits Micropack in the expertise and facilities available to us in the area of Fire and Gas Detection research work.
MICROPACK’s expertise in Fire and Gas detection can provide engineering contractors and end-users with complete turnkey solutions. We have the capability to provide the complete package, from front end engineering design through to commissioning and often, more significantly, operation.
MICROPACK utilise the latest CFD modelling package to execute fire safety evaluations in conjunction with our in-house proprietary Fire and Gas Mapping software.
Process that are capable of being modelled within the CFD software include but are not limited to; buoyancy, thermal radiation, flame spread, pyrolysis, combustion and the modelling of species such as O2, CO2 and smoke.
MICROPACK's Flame Detector works as promised and is easy to maintain. The staff at Micropack are true professionals, dedicated to the cause of fire safety, innovative technology, and strong customer service.
