Micropack appoints Automatic Systems Engineering its distributor in Poland

Flame detection specialist Micropack has appointed Automatic Systems Engineering (ASE) to distribute in Poland its full range of visual and multi-spectrum IR flame detectors, fire and gas mapping and consultancy services available.

The deal includes Micropack’s new multi-spectrum infrared flame detector FDS303, which was launched last year for use in hazardous environments where fast – and dependable – fire detection is critical.

Graham Duncan, Micropack’s business development manager, said: “ASE is a major player in Poland and has a track record of providing safe technologies and solutions for industry and infrastructure, so this partnership is an ideal fit for both companies. It extends our geographical and industry sector reach while our products and services extend ASE’s offering.”
Although the UK company’s products and services have been available within the region, this is is this the first time there has been direct distribution and support.

Graham said: “Micropack’s various intelligent visual flame detectors overcome many challenges associated with older technologies which cause false alarms and missed fires. With the Micropack FDS series, ASE will be able to offer their clients a cost-efficient, technically advanced and trusted flame detection solution.

“ASE will also offer our market-leading Fire and Gas Mapping consulting services and software, HazMap3D. A fire and gas mapping study from ASE and Micropack will deliver reduced costs, improve safety and ensure design is in compliance with international design guidelines. By carrying out these studies, ASE could provide its clients up to 50% reduction in capital and operational expenditure in projects.

“With companies in the group such as BIPORAF; a multi-discipline design contractor of complete process facilities for the petrochemical, oil, gas and chemical industries and PROJMORS; a designing office for maritime structures, famous worldwide for its complex designs, we have a great opportunity to significantly grow our flame detection and fire and gas mapping business through this partnership.”

The appointment includes potential future extension into Estonia, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Ends.
